The NCDC has published a social media post saying that excessive drinking after vaccination is not recommended.
''On the one hand, no research shows that alcohol hinders the development of antibodies in the system.
However, on the other hand, some side effects of vaccination, such as headaches, fatigue, and vertigo, can be mixed with a hangover, which is why post-vaccination excessive drinking is not advisable.
Additionally, excessive alcohol use is generally harmful and can lead to the development of different chronic diseases and other serious problems including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, tumors, and others,'' the post reads.
