Father Michael Botkoveli, the Secretary of the Patriarch, arrived at the 12th Penitentiary Institution in Rustavi to visit the third President of Georgia; he delivered a letter from the Patriarch to Mikheil Saakashvili.
Ilia II, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia and the spiritual leader of the Georgian Orthodox Church, once again appeals to the third president to end the hunger strike.
"I came to Mr. Mikheil Saakashvili again; I have a letter from His Holiness. The contents of the letter refer to his principled position on hunger. I want to pass this letter and see how he is doing on behalf of His Holiness. It is a request and advice from His Holiness to end the hunger," said Father Michael Botkoveli.
