"In order to confirm the green status of foreign citizens, it will be enough to submit the relevant documents issued in their country," relevant change was made in the resolution of the Government of Georgia.
According to the resolution, signed by the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili, on the electronic portal - www.covidpass.moh.gov.ge, in the application - CovidPass Georgia and EU Digital COVID Certificate, the green status of foreign nationals not registered in the systems will be checked on the basis of a QR code issued by the granting country or a complete vaccination or a negative PCR-test document issued by the relevant official body.
According to Giorgi Ghibradze, the Chief of the Operational Staff of the Interagency Coordination Council, the purpose of the decision is to enable foreign citizens to enjoy green status with a document issued in their own country.
The change in the resolution is already in force.
The concept of the so-called "green passport" came into force on December 1, which means that citizens can enter open and closed spaces of food establishments, restaurants, cafes and bars, cinemas, theaters, opera houses, concert halls, entertainment centers, casinos and gambling establishments, spas, gyms, hotels and also in mountain resorts - ropeways only on the principle of "green passport"; This requirement applies to visitors to the listed facilities. The "green passport" requirement is valid only for citizens over 18.
It should be noted that a person has green status if he or she is fully vaccinated, has undergone a 72-hour validity PCR test or a 24-hour validity antigen test, or has been exposed to the coronavirus.
