Per the 22 May data, a total of 118 Georgian citizens abroad were infected with the novel virus, with the majority of them showing mild symptoms. Coronavirus killed 16 Georgian citizens in different foreign countries: one in Austria, four in Spain, one in Turkey, two in Britain, five in the US, two in France, and one in Latvia, according to the Report on the Measures by the Government of Georgia.

The same Report reads that a total of 12,720 Georgian citizens have returned to their homeland with the help of the government, with 7,107 returning by plane, 5,223 by land, and 390 by sea.
