"One case of coronavirus reinfection has been reported in Georgia," Amiran Gamkrelidze, the head of the Georgian National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, stated about it at the briefing held after the meeting of the Coordination Council.
According to his information, the re-infected patient is not elderly.
"One case of reinfection has been confirmed with an interval of three months. There is a mutant of the same strain, but it is not identical at all. There are changes in the genome, but it is not a British or other strain," said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
