Out of 4 128 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 1 540 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara - 494, Imereti - 462, Kvemo Kartli - 312, Shida Kartli - 274, Guria - 119, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 334, Kakheti - 361, Mtskheta- Mtianeti - 102, Samtskhe-Javakheti -99, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 31.
Currently, there are 56 200 active cases of infection, of which: 7 357 people are treated in hospitals, including 3 134 in Tbilisi, 1 024 in Adjara, and 1 074 in Imereti.
At this stage, 1 563 people are seriously ill, including 650 in Tbilisi, 163 in Adjara, 331 in Imereti. There are 361 people on artificial respiration, 219 of them in Tbilisi, 34 in Adjara, and 27 in Imereti.
3 348 people are accommodated in Covid hotels, including 1 470 in Tbilisi and 1 270 in Adjara.
45 495 people are undergoing treatment at home.
129 people are placed in quarantine areas, including 127 in Tbilisi and two in Adjara.
From October 6 to August 25, a total of 25 102 people were transferred from the state border to quarantine areas.
At this stage, 55 879 people are in self-isolation, including 28 441 in Tbilisi, 7 790 in Adjara, and 4 762 in Imereti," reads the press release issued by the Georgian government's administration.
