Public Defender of Georgia Nino Lomjaria will arrive in Ninotsminda boarding house next week together with Reverend Iakob. The decision was made at a meeting between the Reverend and the Ombudsman.
As Nino Lomjaria told reporters, it was agreed at the meeting that social workers would continue to work in the boarding house. After Ombudsmen's visit to the boarding house next week, representatives of the Public Defender's Office will enter the shelter and carry out monitoring.
Lomjaria called the meeting with the Reverend positive and constructive.
"Reverend Iakob was very positive about the institution of the Public Defender. We will visit the boarding house together next week; since the children have some alienation towards the Public Defender, I want to conduct monitoring so that there is trust between the people there and us. This visit will ease the situation. After that, my representatives, specialists will arrive," Lomjaria said.
