At the committee sitting, Defense Minister candidate Irakli Gharibashvili has introduced the parliament to implemented and planned measures to create decent social conditions for soldiers.
Irakli Gharibashvili stated that the Defense Ministry had exerted strenuous efforts to ensure better social conditions for soldiers.
"We have increased our military men's salaries, provided them with better medical conditions, and ensured more nutritious army diet; we gave them more educational opportunities, better accommodation, modern uniforms, and combat boots. We have tackled lots of social issues," Gharibashvili said.
Mr. Gharibashvili added they would ramp up efforts to meet soldiers' needs in the future.
