According to the Acting Minister of Health, Ekaterine Tikaradze, the strain of "Omicron" has not been registered in Georgia yet. However, the healthcare system is waiting for the strain to be confirmed in Georgia.
"Of course, the Georgian healthcare system, the Ministry of Health, and the Center for Disease Control are waiting for Omicron to be confirmed in Georgia as well. This is not surprising. However, as an official, I have no right to give inaccurate information. At this stage, we do not have the information confirmed by the laboratory research, and therefore we continue to work as usual," Tikaradze said.
