"Out of the eight new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Georgia today, three are from the medical field," Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said at a government meeting.
"Unfortunately, we still have to talk about numbers due to the epidemiological situation. Today we have eight new cases of infection in the country. We used to have more in the past, and that is a fact, but out of these 8 cases, unfortunately, three are representatives of the medical field, particularly employees of the Botchorishvili clinic. In two cases, in terms of origin, it is still unclear what the source was. We are once again convinced that the talks about defeating the epidemic are extremely premature," Gakharia said.
According to the latest data, there are 818 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Georgia, of which 686 recovered and 13 died.
