One of the firefighters-rescuers of the Poti Division of the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Department of Fire and Rescue Forces, was confirmed to have coronavirus.
He underwent the planned PCR test on September 4 and received a positive answer. Before that, two weeks earlier, his test result was negative.
The firefighter was on duty on September 6. To date, all employees who worked that day have been monitored and undergone coronavirus testing. The building was thoroughly disinfected.
Epidemiologists are identifying the source and contacts.
The firefighter-rescuer feels well. He has no clinical manifestations of the virus.
The patient is currently at Poti Hospital.
