Regional Director for Europe at the World Health Organization Hans Kluge said in his Twitter post that Georgia has proven the fourth country to be provided with COVID-19 vaccine through COVAX in Europe.
"Georgia is about to become the 4th country in the WHO_Europe Region, to receive vaccines through COVAX. I just met up with Eva UNICEF as the shipment was being prepared," he tweeted.
Georgia is set to receive its first batch of AstraZeneca anti-COVID-19 vaccine on 13 March.
