A member of the national group of technical advisors for immunization, pediatrician Temur Mikeladze says that his 12-year-old patient has received the Pfizer vaccine jab as an exception.
Temur Mikeladze says that the main cause of coronavirus spread in children is that they are unvaccinated. He expressed hope that after the provision of a sufficient number of vaccine doses, the problem will cease to exist in the country.
In the pediatrician's words, children of the similar age group do not, as a rule, show severe symptoms; however, in his words, of the 3,000 infected, 300 are underage.
''The key objective of pediatricians and family doctors must be to dynamically supervise in-home care children,'' he said.
