Former Minister of Education of Georgia, Academician of the Academy of Sciences, Professor Gucha Kvaratskhelia has died. Tbilisi State University spreads information.

Gucha Kvaratskhelia was an exemplary person. Her work in Georgian science is invaluable - in the teaching and learning of the native language, in developing the modern Georgian language in general. She created a number of important scientific papers for the next generation.
Her work at TSU Arnold Chikobava Institute of Linguistics was especially fruitful. Her long and fruitful pedagogical activity at Tbilisi State University is also appreciated. Many students continue to walk the path she has successfully traced.
Tbilisi State University expresses its deep sorrow over the death of Gucha Kvaratskhelia and extends condolences to her family, relatives, and colleagues," the text reads.
