"When it comes to vaccination, we must understand today that a special vaccination commission has been set up, headed by the Ministry of Health," the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia said at the government session.
According to him, the citizens of Georgia will have all the quality vaccines authorized by the relevant international organizations.
"There are many rumors about vaccination; I can not guess where this information comes from. Today we need to understand that a special vaccination commission has been set up, headed by the Ministry of Health. This commission aims to solve several issues related to logistics as different vaccines have different logistical regimes. The commission needs to prepare everything so that the country is ready to start vaccinating citizens. We should pre-determine the target groups, which should be vaccinated as a priority, and ensure that quality and internationally recognized vaccines are delivered to the country as soon as possible, not only through the Covax platform but also through other means. The Ministry of Health has already developed the first two goals. The plan will be presented to the council on Monday, which will then be approved by the government," Gakharia said.
