A member of the parliamentary majority Lado Kakhadze requires that modern technology be employed to punish intoxicated drivers.
On Mr. Kakhadze's initiative, sensors must be installed in vehicles preventing intoxicated drivers from driving them. ''If a drunk person is behind the wheel, the engine may not start,'' he said.
According to the new legislative initiative, sanctions against repeat drunk drivers may be stiffened.
