46 628 persons who receive the support are children from the age of 0 to 6, while 105 596 are from six to 18. As of December of the previous year, 427 373 people received an allowance in the country and 442 112 in January of 2019.
According to the agency, since 2019, the state increased and provided GEL 50 per child to socially vulnerable families.
For the family to appropriately allocate funds for the child, GEL 30 is allocated for food, as for GEL 20, they get it in cash. In some regions, families get GEL 50 in cash.
According to the Social Service Agency, with the support of the United Nations Children's Fund, the government is studying the impact of supplement, and at the end of the year, will announce the results. After that, they will decide how to distribute GEL 50 aid throughout the country - in full, in cash, or in the form of groceries.
