The Galt and Taggart survey shows that Georgia falls behind its neighbor countries with its vaccination rate. April 16 data shows that 24,917 citizens, or 0.7%, have so far been vaccinated in Georgia, implying that its daily vaccinations stand at 1,318. Vaccination is expected to accelerate in the second half of the year. As for Turkey, 14.4% have been vaccinated here, 8.4% in Azerbaijan, 4.5% in Russia, and as few as 0.7% in Georgia.

Three vaccines are available in Georgia at this point: 43,200 doses of AstraZeneca, 29,250 doses of Pfizer, and 100,000 doses of Sinopharm.

Additionally, a million dose of Pfizer vaccine is expected to arrive in Georgia. Negotiations are also underway with Novax, Johnson & Johnson, and other companies.
