According to Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze, Georgia will receive 43,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine on 30 April.
The minister says that massive immunization was planned to start in the country after July, but the Coordination Council decided to enable all citizens of Georgia to book the vaccine now.
In Tikaradze's words, Georgia now has storage of 100,000 Sinopharm vaccines, with 250,000 still to arrive. Negotiations are underway with Moderna and Pfizer, and a total of 90,000 doses of AstraZeneca COVID vaccine are to arrive in the country, with the first batch of 43,000 doses coming tomorrow.
