The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, visited the exhibition of personal belongings of the deceased general, Giorgi Kvinitadze at the National Museum, which was brought from France on May 22 by members of the Kvinitadze family.

The museum displays the general's manuscripts, weapons, equipment, maps, paintings, and other personal items. The President of Georgia presented the museum a copy of the passport of Giorgi Kvinitadze's wife, Mariam Makashvili, and his son. The President inspected the exhibition together with the Minister of Defense, Commander of the Defense Forces, Major General Giorgi Matiashvili, and high-ranking military officials. She addressed the guests:

"It is a great honor for me to participate in this event. This day is perceived as a historic day for everyone because General Kvinitadze returns; he returns symbolically with attributes that will stay here and be exhibited in the National Museum.

I will dedicate today to the family responsible for bringing General Kvinitadze's personal belongings.

I want to add the first passport issued to a family on January 10, 1922, in France.

In this museum, upstairs, there is the Museum of Occupation, and I think the Museum of Occupation cannot be separated from the Museum of Emigration in the future. Emigration and occupation - these are two parts of our history. So, in the future, it will not be wrong to unite them," the President of Georgia stated.
