"Any speculation regarding the War on August 8 is not only unethical but also harmful," – said Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia at Mukhatgverdi cemetery, where the heroes of the 2008 War are buried and put the wreath on the memorial.
The head of the government emphasized that the Russian military forces have breached Georgia's borders and accomplished a full-scale aggression in our country.
"It is how the War in Georgia started. As a result of the War, we have lost 20 percent of the territory, hundreds of our citizens, and the integral country development perspectives. When we talk about 20 percent of the occupation, we do not only mean the territory but also people. Today we have 30,000 internally displaced people. It is the result of the War. As for the future, we always said that repeat it once more that the only way of the country's development is rational politics and peaceful acts. Peace is an unconditional and urgent term to any development" – said Giorgi Gakharia.
The Prime Minister emphasized his answer to the journalists' question that it was the Russian army that breached the borders and attacked Georgia acting according to the Russian government's and Vladimir Putin's orders.
