Georgia has received the US's gift, 500,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine, with the plane landing in the country a few minutes ago. Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze and deputy minister Tamar Gabunia were at the airport as the plane landed on the runway.
Georgian citizens willing to get the first dose of Pfizer jab may register today; 16-year-olds and older people may do so.
Registration for the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine must be undergone before 12 pm.
The Health Ministry says that booking.moh.gov.ge/ website will experience now issues as its capacity has increased.
In addition to Pfizer, the Chinese vaccines, a total of a million and a half doses, are also available, with citizens enabled to take the shots.
