"We aim to make locally manufactured face masks available to the public," Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava declared after the Coordination Council meeting.
"Today, we are faced with global shortages of face masks as the demand for them is high. We succeeded in producing face masks in the shortest possible time, and we are sparing no effort to increase their production. However, at the initial stage, we have to determine our priorities," Turnava said.
In her words, they have set priorities and plan to distribute free face masks to senior citizens over 70, pensioners with no one to take care of them, and retirees who suffer from chronic diseases.
Face masks will become available to the general public after the production of their large numbers.
