Fire-rescuers of Emergency Situations Management Service under the Ministry of Internal Affairs continues search activities for Ilia Filfani, a minor who disappeared from the village of Lenjeri in Mestia Municipality, Svaneti region. The head of the Emergency Management Agency, Teimuraz Mghebrishvili, stated about it at the agency's briefing.
According to him, Search activities involve 80 rescuer-firefighters of Emergency Situations Service, police units, drones, patrol boat, and border police helicopters. The rescuers hold search activities in Svaneti as well as on the Black Sea coastline. The photo of Ilia Pilpani got sent to all sub-units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs across the country.
Public Safety Management Center 112 has already sent a multi-lingual text message to all existing telephone numbers throughout the country and the photograph of Ilia Pilpani, urging citizens to contact 112 services in case of having any information.
From the disappearance of Ilia Pilpani up to date, fire-rescuers have already checked and inspected the following villages: Lengeri, Lashdghveri, Mesguni, Nemsia, Soli, Kaeri, Lkhani, Kartvani, Lankhvri, Iskari, Tsalanari, Etseri, Kalashi, Ushguli, Ughvali, Fari, Upper Luha, Lower Luha, Lakhamula, Nodashi, Magardi, Lezgara, Lezgareba, Kaeri, Lemsia, Kashveti, Lashtgveri, Nesguni, Zargashi, Kureli, Becho, Mazeri, Jorkvali, Latali as well as abandoned houses and towers in the mentioned venues.
Mugviri venues have also got examined, Mount Kuruldi slope, Tchuberi, and the adjacent territory- Laghami, Lanchvala, Soko neighborhood.
Fire-rescuers have inspected Becho-Dizi- Khaishi-Jvari road section leading to Zugdidi on foot, tourist root of Tchaladi glacier, a forested area located near Mestia ropeway, venues of Mestia Archangel church up to forested slopes of Lenjeri village, forest area of Hebuti and Hatsvali, and four abandoned tunnels near Hoko Pass. In total, fire-rescuers inspected 38 villages and nearby venues.
Seven rivers have also been checked and inspected, including river beds and the adjacent gorges.
Rescuers have also inspected pasture stalls in the mountains, abandoned houses, tunnels, and forest areas.
Search activities took place on Enguri River and Engurhesi.
Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have constant communication with the family of the missing minor. Ilia Filfani's parents are provided with information on current activities daily.
As soon as the report was received regarding the missing minor, Mestia police division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti police department launched an investigation on the fact of illegal restriction of freedom of an under-aged person perpetrated on purpose, crime envisaged under the article 143, Part 3, sub-paragraph "D" of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The law enforcement officers are checking all information related to the disappearance of a minor or his possible whereabouts.
