Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze defined a recent increase in Bolnisi coronavirus cases as alarming and said that if ten or more patients are again diagnosed in the municipality in a single day, measures will be toughened.
"Infectious disease specialists and health workers are actively performing field works in this region, with residents here also being tested," Tikaradze said.
Fifteen new cases of the novel virus have been confirmed in the Bolnisi municipality. Seven recently diagnosed citizens belong to the Mushevani village cluster, and eight to Geta. Out of the tested 86 samples, 15 proved positive.
