A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and three mobile operators in Georgia - MagtiCom Ltd, Vion Georgia Ltd, and JSC Silknet. According to the memorandum, public and private school students and teachers will be able to use the preferential mobile internet package during the 2021-2022 school year.
According to the agency, in order to ensure access to remote learning in pandemic conditions, the memorandum envisages Internet providers offering a 20GB high-quality mobile internet package for students and teachers for GEL 10, which is 2.5 times less than the standard cost.
