"An information portal has been launched today, which allows citizens to receive information about the identity of the family doctor and the primary health care institution," the Ministry of Health of Georgia has issued a statement.
According to the Ministry, the purpose of launching the information portal is to reduce the number of calls to 112 and improve the quality of medical services.
"If a citizen is using a universal health care program, he/she should contact a family doctor or the medical institution where they are registered. If a citizen is using a private insurance company, then contact the family doctor of the insurance company. If the citizen is not a beneficiary of a universal health care program or a private one or is the beneficiary of a universal health care program, but is not registered in any medical facility, should contact the hotline of the Ministry of Health: The purpose of launching the 1505 information portal is to reduce calls to 112 and improve the quality of medical care.
