The new rule on pardoning convicts has come into force.
According to the administration, consultations were held with state agencies and experts in the process of drafting the new rule. As a result, a special electronic program will be introduced to the administration until January 1, 2021.
"New rules set out the criteria for pardoning convicts for serious and particularly grave crimes, simplifying the terms for dealing with convictions for less serious offenses.
According to the new rules, the President will use her power in special individual cases, which will significantly reduce the number of pardon acts", reads the statement released by the President's Administration on November 26.
According to the President's Administration, pardon cases will be discussed as soon as the new pardon rules are published.
