"It is gratifying that ethnic Azerbaijanis living in Georgia are learning the language," Academician Ramaz Khurodze, a member of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences (GMEA), stated at the conference on Azerbaijani-Georgian relations.
According to him, the number of Azerbaijanis who can communicate freely in Georgian is growing.
The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev noted that local Azerbaijanis express great interest in the Georgian language.
"Our compatriots understand that full integration into civil society is impossible without knowledge of the state language, the Georgian language. Azerbaijanis of Georgia are aiming for integration, and it is very gratifying that the Georgian society welcomes this," Faig Guliyev said.
