Paata Imnadze, the Deputy Head of the National Center for Disease Control, got vaccinated against coronavirus live. He is the first person in Georgia to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

In addition to Imnadze, Marina Ezugbaia, Marina Endeladze, Davit Gadelia, and Tamar Giorgadze, an NCDC employee who was the first person registered, will be vaccinated at the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital today.

Pediatricians Ivane Chkhaidze and Temur Mikeladze will be vaccinated at Iashvili Central Children's Hospital.

The vaccine will be given to the Minister of Health of Adjara Nino Nizharadze, the Deputy Head of Public Health Nana Efodze, and the Director of the Batumi Republican Hospital Solomon Putkaradze, as well as doctor Ilia Nakashidze.

Nika Vashakmadze, a cardiac surgeon, and Tedo Purtskhvanidze, the head of the resuscitation department of the Interventional Medicine Center, will be vaccinated in Kutaisi.

Doctors of Referral Hospital Zeinab Mgeliashvili and Darina Machavariani will receive the vaccine in Telavi.

According to the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), 2,067 health care workers have booked a visit at the COVID-19 electronic vaccination system as of March 14, 23:00.

43,200 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine were introduced in Georgia on Saturday, March 13, intended for medical staff. The next step is to vaccinate the beneficiaries and staff of long-term care facilities, after which the vaccine will be given to people over 75.
