Employees of the Samtskhe-Javakheti Division of the Investigation Department of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, as a result of operative-investigative measures, exposed one person for commercial bribery.
According to the agency, the investigation established that the director of one of the non-profit (non-commercial) legal entities operating in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region, in order to obtain illegal material benefits, without undergoing relevant training courses, in exchange for the money, issued certificates confirming the completion of the technical specialization course.
"The investigation is underway under Article 221, Part 4, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment for a term of 4 to 6 years.
Relevant investigative actions are underway to identify other persons involved in the crime," the information reveals.
