The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili, together with members of the government, attended the civil funeral of 8 people transferred from the territory of occupied Abkhazia to the Trinity Cathedral.

The head of government paid tribute to the memory of the victims and expressed his condolences to the family members.

Through the joint efforts of the Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and the International Committee of the Red Cross, within the framework of bilateral Georgian-Abkhazian coordination mechanism, resulting in the transfer of 8 missing persons. Five of them are military, and 3 are civilians.

Four fighters will be buried in Dighomi Brothers Cemetery with military honors today, and four people will be buried in ancestral cemeteries by the decision of their families.
