According to Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, negotiations with the manufacturers regarding the introduction of new vaccines against coronavirus have already begun.
According to him, a million doses of "Pfizer" are expected in the summer.
"We are negotiating directly with the manufacturers. One is the Covax platform, from which we have already started receiving vaccines, and the other is the vaccines obtained directly from the manufacturers. Detailed information about this will be presented to the public in a few days together with the Minister.
We are talking about the introduction of "Pfizer" vaccines in the summer, in June-July. We are negotiating a million doses; I was directly involved and had a number of phone calls with the president of Pfizer.
We have negotiations with Chinese "Sinopharm" and "Sinovac" factories to supply additional doses. We are optimistic about the introduction of Novavax and Moderna; we have agreements and will receive additional doses in the coming months," the Prime Minister stated.
