PM: Restrictions will be imposed in Tbilisi and Imereti from tomorrow

"We have decided that the work of restaurants and all entertainment establishments in Tbilisi and Imereti will be limited from 22:00," the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia said at a briefing after the government session.

According to him, a record number of coronavirus cases got observed in Georgia today, due to which it was decided to impose restrictions.

"Everyone must remember that despite the global challenge, economic competition in a post-crisis economy will be completely different, and our main goal is to get out of this crisis with minimal damage to the health of our citizens and our country's economy. Our main strategy is selective restrictions; therefore, we decided to restrict restaurants' work in Tbilisi and Imereti from tomorrow at 22:00. It is a decision that will allow us to slow down the spread of the virus, but we must all understand that this is not enough. We all have our share of responsibility here," he said.
