“The name of General Kvinitadze is associated with combating occupation and fight for freedom,’’ Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said.
In his words, the transfer of Kvinitadze’s body from France to Georgia is of the highest significance for Georgia and Georgians.
“His body returned to the motherland after a 100-year separation,’’ Garibashvili added.
“On Independence Day, General Kvinitadze’s body will be laid to rest in Mtatsminda Pantheon,’’ PM Garibashvili notes.
The body of General Giorgi Kvinitadze has been transferred from France to Georgia.
An official ceremony was held at the Tbilisi International Airport in honor of the Georgian general who died in exile.
On May 26, General Giorgi Kvinitadze will be buried at Mtatsminda Pantheon.
