"The protocol in the country to fight against the COVID virus is based on the protocol of the World Health Organization," the head of the National Center for Disease Control, Amiran Gamkrelidze, said at the briefing.
According to Gamkrelidze, the doctor can make corrections in the protocol; however, they generally follow the established one.
"When protocols and guidelines are developed in the country, we rely on the evidence and international experience established by the World Health Organization. All patients are different, so some corrections should be made based on the opinion of the doctor, but mostly they follow the established protocol and guidelines," Amiran Gamkrelidze said.
