Decree #322 signed by the Prime Minister justifies the public transport restrictions until July 15.

The Decree restricts the following types of transportation:

“Regular domestic flights for passengers’ transportation. Irregular (charter) flights to be reviewed individually by the Civil Aviation Agency and in agreement with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development” – the Decree reads.

  1. Transportation of passengers through the railway, except for the transportation of the staff (to the working place and home) responsible for freight traffic, which is accomplished un-interruptedly according to the schedule developed by the JSC Georgian Railway in agreement with the Operation Center, created at the government of Georgia in the prevention of coronavirus spread;
  2. Intermunicipal or/and intercity traffic of passengers by M2 and M3 types of means of transport;
  3. Public transport, including metro and ropeway” – states the Decree that came into effect from May 23 until July 15.

As shared with Report.ge, the government administration is authorized to cancel the restrictions at any point of time and following the epidemiological situation.
