On the balcony of the parliament hall, journalists again showed a banner reading "Punish the Violators" and demanded that the participants and organizers of the July 5 violent rally be punished.
Kakha Kuchava, the Speaker of the Parliament, responded to the fact, noting that this action goes beyond journalistic activities. He said an investigation is underway into the incident on July 5, and all the culprits will definitely be punished.
"My request will be to carry out journalistic activities as before. This action goes beyond journalistic activities. No one will be allowed to disrupt the sitting. Violators will be punished; there will be an appropriate response. Parliament will be a place where all critical questions will be heard if we do not like something," Kuchava said.
The journalists hung the banner from the balcony last week, on the day of hearing the Minister of Internal Affairs, which eventually led to the disruption of Vakhtang Gomelauri's hearing.
