The Minister of Health, Ekaterine Tikaradze, named cities and clinics where Pfizer vaccination will start at the briefing after the government session.

According to her, the expected amount of 29 500 doses, which will be distributed to 14 000 people, arrived.

"The Pfizer vaccine is finally in Georgia. It is the number we expected 29,500 doses for 14,000 people. Due to the fact that the period of vaccination with Pfizer is defined and the second vaccine is done in 3-4 weeks after the first vaccine, we decided to divide these doses as in the case of AstraZeneca.

It is also important that this vaccine will be distributed in 3 big cities, six clinics, one clinic in Batumi, 1 in Kutaisi, and four clinics in Tbilisi. Tbilisi clinics are Bokeria Clinic, Republican Hospital, Amteli Clinic, Caucasus Medical Center, Republican Hospital in Batumi, and Tskhakaia Evex Clinic in Kutaisi," Tikaradze said.

The first doses of the Pfizer vaccine arrived in Georgia.
