The Pediatrician and Director of Iashvili Children Hospital, Ivane Chkaidze, defined the booster shot as the only tool containing the Omicron coronavirus variant.
In Chkhaidze's words, two doses only are not enough. Chkhaidze stressed that the new coronavirus variant would cause hospitalizations of people over 65.
''Only the booster can be deemed the vaccine containing the Omicron; the first and second doses only are not enough,'' Chkhaidze told Rustavi 2.
