According to the Roads Department of Georgia, the traffic movement on the Gudauri-Kobi section is not allowed.
"There is a possibility of an avalanche on the Gudauri (Posta) -Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi (Russian Federation-Russian border) preventing all types of traffic," the Roads Department noted.
The traffic on the other sections of the road is free.
