The late 45-year-old woman recovered from the coronavirus, but she suffered a stroke and died, Tengiz Tsertsvadze, the head of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases hospital, said.
"Note please that this woman is the only young person who has died, while say in the United States, 20% of victims are aged 20-64," Tsertsvadze said, adding that this is the only case in Georgia when the victim is under 68.
The woman with coronavirus who was admitted to Gori Military Hospital passed on 8 May.
