The new strain of coronavirus is spreading faster, but that it is not harder to treat, Tengiz Tsertsvadze, Director General of the Tbilisi Center for Infectious Pathologies and AIDS, said.
In his words, PCR tests can detect the new strain of the novel coronavirus infection.
"There was a talk that it is more common among children and young people, and more severe in them as well. Perhaps it occurs more often among them, but it does not proceed more difficult. We saw that PCR tests reveal a new strain," Tengiz Tsertsvadze said.
