Two were injured after an explosion in the 'Imereti' restaurant on Rustaveli street, Akhaltsikhe municipality.
The Emergency Management Service says that 12 families have already been evacuated from the residential building. Allegedly, a gas leak has triggered the explosion.
Preliminary reports have it that an explosion occurred in the disused restaurant located in a five-story building. The building was damaged; however, no deaths were reported.
Law enforcement officers are now on the scene. The area has been marked with caution tape.
