“Forest and valley fire has been detected at six locations across the country,’’ Georgia’s Emergency Service reports.
It says the fire erupted at two new areas last night, one – in Imereti and another in the Samegrelo region.
‘’About 500 firefighters are working at the scene,’’ the statement reads, adding that three fire areas have been localized.
The Emergency Service calls on the population to refrain from burning grass on the valleys and land plots.
