We must protect children from calamitous consequences

"We must think about other minors, other teenagers, children who are passing through this toughest stage, and must refrain from expressing feelings of hopelessness publicly," psychologist Keti Kobaladze commented on mounting public outcry over the 15-year-old minor's untimely death.

"We must protect children who are still alive from these calamitous consequences. As a psychologist, I am saying that for the last few days, I have noticed surprisingly negative and pessimistic disposition, with everyone posting their opinions on social media and with this negatively impacting children," said the psychologist and stressed that unreservedly expressing feelings of hopelessness is inadmissible. "Older people are obliged to protect minors and listen to them. We are a different generation; they know more than we do," Kobaladze said.
