Head of the National Center for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze confirmed that the so-called Indian strain of coronavirus might also enter Georgia.
He says experts work to ensure the strain reaches the country as late as possible.
“You see what happens in India, as there is a very rapid transmission. Therefore, we try to delay the strain entry,” Gamkrelidze said.
The Indian strain of coronavirus is spreading very fast. It has already been detected in six countries.
