All families in Georgia from 0 to 100,000 points, with two or three children under 16 will get monthly GEL 100 assistance for six months, Georgian PM Giorgi Gakharia said at the Inter-Agency Coordination Council meeting.
In the PM's words, additionally, all socially vulnerable citizens from 65,000 to 100,000 points will also be provided with the financial aid of GEL 100 for six months.
Plus, the persons with disabilities under 18 and persons with severe disabilities will receive monthly GEL 100 assistance for six months.
The social assistance portfolio budget amounts to GEL 610 million.
According to Mr. Gakharia, companies are also set to be provided with targeted assistance. The PM also stressed that applications may be filed starting from today, and citizens who are now out of work due to the pandemic and those who are entitled to targeted social assistance will be provided with it in the shortest possible time.
