The International Day of Red Cross and Red Crescent is marked worldwide today.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili congratulated the international organizations on the day of establishment.
He noted that the organizations’ employees, volunteers, and supporters are the first to help people in the world’s hot spots.
He emphasized that the operation of the humanitarian organization is based on humanity.
The Red Cross Association was established during the first republic of Georgia in 1918.
“Since Georgia restored its independence, the organization contributes uniquely to the resolution of crises and challenges. I want to emphasize the Red Cross’ role in searching for the bodies of missing soldiers,’’ Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili says.
