Zaza Gakheladze's mother, Nana Bunturi, tried to commit suicide. His father revealed the information while talking to Mtavari Channel. The occupation forces detained Gakheladze.
"We were expecting on 31 that my son should have been home, and when he did not return, my wife was in a terrible situation. So she took out 5-liter gasoline and poured it on herself, our bride saw her. Nana would not be here today if she hadn't seen her," said Gakheladze's father.
The Russian occupation forces illegally detained Zaza Gakheladze on July 11, 2020, and on February 5, 2021, he was illegally sentenced to 12 years and six months in prison.
